We care about your privacy

1.1. In this Policy, where commencing with a capital letter and unless the context clearly indicates otherwise, the expressions below shall have the following meanings:

1.1.1. “Associated Person” means any employee, director, shareholder, agent, company, society, "joint venture", association or organisation, representative or other form associated or affiliated to LiveSponsors, as well as digital marketing companies and customer relationship management service platforms, and third-party service providers, agents or independent contractors and/or subcontractors who help LiveSponsors maintain the Platform and/or provide Offers or other administrative services;

1.1.2. “Cookies” means a text-only string of information that LiveSponsors (or, if applicable, any other company or entity) places on your computer so that such LiveSponsors (or, if applicable, any other company or entity) can remember you when you visit the Platform (or, if applicable, another given website) again and to compile statistical data on your use of the Platform (or, if applicable, another given website);

1.1.3. “GDPR”, means the General Data Protection Regulation, as approved by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, as well as any changes thereto from time to time;

1.1.4. “LiveSponsors” means LiveSponsors, Lda., a commercial company duly organized and existing under the laws of Portugal;

1.1.5. “Offers” means any product or service offered to you by LiveSponsors on the Platform;

1.1.6. “Personal Information” means any information relating to an individual, including but not limited to the person's name, email address, personal password, mailing address, phone number, gender and date of birth;

1.1.7. “Platform” means the website www.livesponsors.com;

1.1.8. “Gambling, Betting and/or eWallet websites” means any gambling, betting and/or eWallets websites accessed through the Platform; and

1.1.9. “Policy” means this Policy related to the access and use of the Platform, made available on it, as the same may be amended from time to time, in accordance with the provisions herein.

1.2. The headings of the Sections of this Policy are included for mere convenience and shall not be considered in its interpretation or construction.

1.3. In this Policy, unless stated otherwise, any references to Sections or paragraphs concern Sections or paragraphs of this Policy, if any.

1.4. The expressions defined above in the singular may be used in the plural, and vice-versa, with the corresponding change to their meaning.

2.1 During the processing of registration and in using its Offers, LiveSponsors will ask you to enter Personal Information, namely:

2.1.1 Account data (username and password);

2.1.2 Identity data (full name and photo);

2.1.3 Contact data (email address and phone number); and

2.1.4 Location data (physical address).

2.2 Moreover, through the course of the different sorts of interactions you may have with LiveSponsors and/or its Platform, LiveSponsors may also collect and process the following information from you:

2.2.1 Metadata (IP address, computer and connection information, referring web page, standard web log information, language settings and time zone);

2.2.2 Location data (GPS position), and

2.2.3 User’s actions data (pages viewed, buttons clicked, time spent viewing and search keywords).

2.3 LiveSponsors processes Personal Information when you visit the Platform using Cookies. If you need more information about Cookies, you can consult Section 10 below.

3.1 LiveSponsors may automatically receive Personal Information about you if you provide LiveSponsors with such information through the Platform, the Offers or other means of communication and interaction with LiveSponsors.

3.2 LiveSponsors may also receive Personal Information from Gambling, Betting and/or eWallet websites, including statistics and data for accounting purposes (for example, to calculate the sponsorship value for live tournaments) and fraud prevention.

3.3 When you sign in with the “Facebook” social network or with the “Google” search engine, your e-mail address is automatically collected to facilitate sign-up/log-in and to allow synchronisation if you already have an account in the Platform. LiveSponsors may keep this Personal Information even before you have completed your registration.

3.4 In addition to the email address automatically collected for login purposes, when users sign in with Facebook, the following data is collected: name, profile picture, and any additional permissions (such as friends list, likes, if applicable). This data is collected to facilitate login and personalize the user experience.

3.5LiveSponsors does not share data collected via Facebook login with third parties unless required by law. Users can revoke Facebook login permissions or delete their Facebook-linked account at any time through account settings, and LiveSponsors will promptly remove the associated data.

4.1 LiveSponsors uses the Personal Information provided by you for different things to ensure the functional capacity and quality of the Offers, namely:

4.1.1 To allow the registration of a new user in the Platform;

4.1.2 To provide the Offers you have requested from LiveSponsors;

4.1.3 To achieve promotional, marketing and/or commercial purposes, such as the promotion of Offers which may be interesting to you (as long as you have enabled the option of receiving communications from LiveSponsors);

4.1.4 To provide customer support to you, either to answer questions about the Offers or about any given complaint or to provide any technical or other type of support you may require from LiveSponsors;

4.1.5 To help in any processes related to data analysis, research and the Platform’s debug, test and/or improvement;

4.1.6 To provide the necessary security and identity verification and to prevent fraud; and

4.1.7 To comply with legal and regulatory obligations, as may be required or mandatory by law.

4.2 For these reasons, it is very important that the Personal Information you enter in the Platform is as accurate as possible. This Personal Information is encrypted and protected by LiveSponsors on its servers and will never be revealed to third parties, unless any of the circumstances better described in the present Policy apply, case in which LiveSponsors may reveal such Personal Information to third parties.

4.3 Your Personal Information may be disclosed to LiveSponsors’ employees or any other Associated Person to ensure the proper functioning of the Offers. About the privacy of your Personal Information, all recipients are subject to data protection laws to keep your Personal Information private.

4.4 Also, unless you have opted not to receive information from LiveSponsors, LiveSponsors may use your Personal Information and details to marketing purposes, including advertising and commercial information from LiveSponsors or third parties, as well as to inform you about the Offers, promotions news, information ranging from special promotions to technical information regarding the Offers and the services of an Associated Person, and as providing customer support services.

4.5 If you no longer wish to receive a newsletter from LiveSponsors you can disable the option of the respective delivery by using the option “Unsubscribe” that exist at the bottom of each newsletter that is remitted to you and/or if you no longer wish to receive e-mails, SMS, or phone calls from LiveSponsors you can choose to disable that option, by removing a tick mark in the respective field, in your reserved area of the Platform.

5.1 The Personal Information collected is intended to LiveSponsors. However, you have authorized that your Personal Information can also be transferred to LiveSponsors’ contractors and/or subcontractors withing the purposes indicated in this Policy.

5.2 Some of LiveSponsors’ contractors and/or subcontractors may be located outside the European Union. In this case, LiveSponsors guarantees that the transfer of Personal Information is framed by an adequate level of protection, through standard contractual clauses of the European Commission. LiveSponsors is committed to ensure that its contractors and/or subcontractors meet the required security and confidentiality obligations. In this context, LiveSponsors undertakes, upon a request addressed to its customer service, to provide any information about the purpose of that transfer, the data that is transferred, the recipients and the security measures implemented to supervise such transfer.

5.3 Only persons duly authorized by LiveSponsors, under applicable regulations and due to their duties, may access your Personal Information. The persons under LiveSponsors responsibility who have access to your Personal Information are subject to a confidentiality agreement.

5.4 Your Personal Information may also be communicated by LiveSponsors to several and different service providers exclusively for the purposes mentioned below in this Policy:

5.4.1 Associated Persons, in the form of digital marketing companies and customer relationship management service platforms, and third-party service providers, agents or independent contractors and/or subcontractors who help LiveSponsors maintain the Platform and/or provide the Offers or other administrative services;

5.4.2 Judicial and administrative, supervisory, or regulatory authorities; or

5.4.3 Companies and other entities to which LiveSponsors sell, transfer (or enter negotiations to sell or transfer) any of its business. LiveSponsors will, as part of the Policy, inform its customers before carrying out such a transfer of Personal Information.

5.5 LiveSponsors strictly guarantees that its processors of Personal Information comply with the GDPR.

6.1 The Personal Information provided by you will be kept private and confidential by LiveSponsors wherever possible. Therefore, LiveSponsors will not knowingly allow access to this Personal Information.

6.2 LiveSponsors will always make its best efforts to protect the confidentiality of your Personal Information, using the latest technology. Access to your Personal Information is only possible by the people described in the Policy, and all LiveSponsors´ employees are required to maintain confidentiality about your Personal Information. Also, employees that leave LiveSponsors will still be bound by confidentiality obligations and subject to confidentiality or any data protection legislation.

6.3 You also have a responsibility to protect your Personal Information. To help LiveSponsors to protect your privacy, please use your best efforts and make sure that your password is confidential and not similar to other passwords that you have already used (for example, on other websites, etc.) Do not reveal your password or details of your account in the Platform to any third parties.

7.1 Despite LiveSponsors’ intention to protect your privacy when and where possible, LiveSponsors is bound by statutory laws. Thus, due to the current legal, regulatory and security environment, LiveSponsors may be forced, in certain circumstances, to disclose Personal Information about the users of its Platform.

7.2 LiveSponsors will try to limit the disclosure of Personal Information wherever possible, but LiveSponsors considers, in good faith, that such disclosure may be required as follows:

7.2.1 If LiveSponsors must comply with any legal process involving LiveSponsors, and its Platform or Offers;

7.2.2 If there are any circumstances in which LiveSponsors is under a substantially similar legal obligation (for example, in response to a subpoena, warrant or another legal process); or

7.2.3 If LiveSponsors must act to protect the personal safety of its directors, officers, managers, employees or representatives, to protect the provided Offers or to protect the public interest.

8.1 LiveSponsors will keep your Personal Information for the necessary time to fulfil the relevant purposes as explained in this Policy and/or according to the legally prescribed period of time and to the extent necessary given the reasons for its collection.

8.2 Thus, your Personal Information will be kept by LiveSponsors for the purposes and for the periods indicated below:

8.2.1 For the purposes of fulfilling obligations regarding combating money laundering and terrorism financing, your Personal Information will be kept by LiveSponsors for a period of 7 (seven) years after the closure of your account;

8.2.2 In order to comply with any tax obligations, your Personal Information will be kept by LiveSponsors for a period of 10 (ten) years;

8.2.3 With the goal to comply with any statutory compliance obligations, your Personal Information will be kept by LiveSponsors for a period of 7 (seven) years after the closure of your account;

8.2.4 Concerning and sending of information, your Personal Information will be kept by LiveSponsors until you present your objection; and

8.2.5 Regarding any judicial or non-judicial collection and disputes, until the moment the payment of the amounts in debt or the settlement of the dispute occurs, as it may be the case.

9.1 You have the right to demand clear and transparent information about how LiveSponsors uses your Personal Information and about your rights.

9.2 You have the right to obtain from LiveSponsors, as soon as possible, confirmation that your Personal Information is being processed or not and, if that is the case, the right to access your Personal Information and the conditions of that processing, as well as how to receive a copy.

9.3 You have the right to data portability that allows you to receive your Personal Information in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and the right to transmit this data to another controller. This right is only applicable to the processing of Personal Information carried out based on consent, in the performance of a contract, or when the processing is carried out by automated means.

9.4 You have the right to rectification, which means that you have the right to obtain from LiveSponsors, without undue delay, the rectification of any inaccurate Personal Information.

9.5 You have the right to object, on grounds relating to your situation, at any time to processing of your Personal Information after registering on the Platform.

9.6 When such processing is carried out based on LiveSponsors' legitimate interests or compatible purposes, LiveSponsors ceases the processing of Personal Information, unless LiveSponsors presents compelling and legitimate reasons for such processing that prevail over your interests, rights and freedoms, or for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims. If you object to the processing of your Personal Information for the purposes of direct marketing, at any time, the Personal Information will no longer be processed by LiveSponsors for that purpose.

9.7 It is important to notice that certain so-called ‘administrative’ communications will always be sent by LiveSponsors, as well as those intended to comply with LiveSponsors’ legal obligations regarding the validation of your account, those messages relating to the closure of the account, or those messages related to maintenance.

9.8 You have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, unless is necessary for entering into, or performance of, a contract between the you and LiveSponsors, is authorised by the European Union or by an European Union Member State law to which LiveSponsors is subject and which also lays down suitable measures to safeguard the data subject's rights and freedoms and legitimate interests.

9.9 You have the right to obtain from LiveSponsors the erasure of your Personal Information without undue delay and LiveSponsors have the obligation to erase Personal Information without undue delay except in situations expressly provided for in the GDPR, namely, if the retention of Personal Information is necessary to comply with a legal obligation.

9.10 Please note that you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. The withdrawal of consent does not compromise the lawfulness of the treatment carried out based on the previously given consent. The given consent is optional.

9.11 The Personal Information collected by LiveSponsors, based on the execution of a contract or the fulfilment of a legal obligation, is necessary for the registration and creation of an account on the Platform, as well as, to enjoy the Offers and products made available by LiveSponsors. Without providing Personal Information, it will not be possible to register and create an account in the Platform, as well as to use the Offers available on the Platform.

9.12 Once your LiveSponsors’ account is terminated in the Platform, or you give up signing up with the “Facebook” social network or the “Google” search engine, you have the right to have your Personal Information deleted, upon request.

9.13 The deletion of Personal Information requests usually takes up to 30 (thirty) calendar days from the initial request to be fully processed. In some cases, you may still receive messages which had been scheduled before termination.

9.14 Note that once Personal Information is deleted it may not be recovered.

10.1 When you visit the Platform, LiveSponsors may send you a Cookie.

10.2 Although you are not obliged to accept Cookies from the Platform and can decline them by modifying the settings of your browser, LiveSponsors advises you to accept Cookies.

10.3 Please note that it will unfortunately not be possible for you to use all the provided Offers on the Platform without accepting Cookies.

11.1 Google Analytics is, according to the information made available to the public, a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic, which is currently qualified as a platform inside Google Marketing Platform brand.

11.2 Google Analytics collects information anonymously. It reports websites’ trends without identifying individual visitors.

11.3 Google Analytics employs Cookies to define user sessions, which allows for the collection of data about how visitors are using the websites.

11.4 Google Analytics uses only first-party Cookies for data analysis. This means that the Cookies are linked to a specific website domain and Google Analytics will only use that Cookie data for statistical analysis related to the user’s browsing behaviour on that specific website. According to the information made available by Google, the data collected by Google Analytics cannot be altered or retrieved by services from other domains.

11.5 Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer’s hard drive. These Cookies are used to store information, such as the time that the current visit occurred, whether the visitor has been to the site before and what site referred the visitor to the webpage.

11.6 LiveSponsors uses Google Analytics to collect information about the use of the Platform as this tool helps LiveSponsors, as a website owner, to understand how visitors engage with its Platform. As a customer of Google Analytics, LiveSponsors has access to a variety of reports about how visitors interact with its Platform so that LiveSponsors can improve it. One of those reports that LiveSponsors has access to and uses relates to the Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting as it helps LiveSponsors to recognise and understand users’ preferences.

11.7 You can opt out of Google Analytics without affecting how you visit the Platform. For more information on opting out of being tracked by Google Analytics across all websites you use, visit this Google page.

12.1 By registering and creating an account with the Platform or by your continued use of the Offers following the posting of this Policy, you agree to the terms of this Policy and any updates, whereby this version of the Policy supersedes any earlier version. For that reason, LiveSponsors asks you to review this Policy regularly, because LiveSponsors may amend and/or update it from time to time.

12.2 If LiveSponsors amends or updates this Policy, LiveSponsors will post those amendments or updates on the Platform.

12.3 Moreover, this Policy should be read in combination with LiveSponsors’ Terms and Conditions which take precedence over any conflicting provision of this Policy.

12.4 In special, you give your consent to LiveSponsors to the following actions taken by LiveSponsors:

12.4.1 To use your Personal Information and, if necessary, to disclose your Personal Information to third parties for, among other things, the purposes of validating the Personal Information you provide to LiveSponsors while using the Offers, including, if necessary, the transfer of information outside of your country;

12.4.2 To support LiveSponsors to ensure the security of the Offers, you agree to provide such Personal Information or documentation as requested by LiveSponsors; and

12.4.3 To use of your username at the Platform for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation (except where prohibited by law).
